DEPUTY PRINCIPAL - Starting 2024
E te tī, e te tā, tēnā rā tātou katoa i roto i ngā tini āhuatanga o te wā. Ko ngā hua o te rangi me te whenua ki a koe.
Tīhei mauri ora.
One of our Deputy Principals has been promoted to principalship so we are seeking a new LEGEND who genuinely wants to be part of our learning journey and help lead the school, by contributing to the day to day operations and supporting our strategic direction. This is a brilliant career opportunity for someone who is motivated to make a difference for our tamariki, the staff and our whānau through positive, engaging experiences.
Our new Deputy Principal needs the drive to genuinely ‘lead’ and potentially be someone who sees principalship as a real prospect in the future. You will be well supported to extend your current leadership capability to achieve your leadership aspiration.
You must understand the importance of our values and be able to enhance these through curriculum development, through whanaungatanga and through role modeling, while basing your strategic and leadership decisions around LEGEND.
Our core focus over the next 2 years, is continuing to develop our localised curriculum alongside Rangitāne and ensuring we do our best to honour Te Tiriti. It is therefore critical that our new Deputy Principal is genuinely passionate about ensuring educational inequities are addressed and is prepared to be open to learning, open to understanding and then willing to make a difference.
The successful applicant needs to have an understanding of, or be willing to quickly learn about, the pedagogy of PB4L with the ability to transfer our values to learning dispositions as well as, the pedagogy behind Flipped Learning and Structured Literacy.
If this excites you and sounds like your next step, we welcome your application and look forward to reading your strengths and what you believe you will bring to this legendary position. Areas of responsibility will be negotiated.
Ensure your CV shares with us your strengths and how these can support and enhance what we are currently doing.
